PF v4

This week's spotlight for Philanthropic Friday is a well-deserving organization that inspires me to give more back to the helpless animals in the community.

We adopted DC from the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA in Phoenix. I have so much love in my heart for this organization! All of the staff members are so compassionate about animals—especially the ones they care for. Adopting from this organization is a joyful experience (as it should be). I felt more welcome and informed than I have ever felt at the County Animal Care and Control Units. You can tell that AAWL wants the animals to go to happy homes, and they give the owners all the tools they can to ensure that both the animal and owner are happy. Anyway, back to AAWL, sorry!

AZ Welfare League is Arizona’s oldest and largest NO-KILL shelter. This organization makes a lifetime commitment to all of the animals it takes in. That means that if the owner is no longer able to keep their animal, the shelter will take the animal back into their care and try to re-adopt them out. They do not euthanize animals here. As a matter of fact, they rescue animals from county shelters that are in danger of being euthanized. How amazing is that? They’re a bunch of animal saviors.

The organization not only adopts animals out, but they provide dog training classes. They teach the animals (and owners) everything from general obedience training to preparing your pet for a newborn baby to bite prevention. You can check out all of their classes here: Puppy Classes!

They are a 501©(3) organization, which means that all donations made are tax-deductible. They rely heavily on contributions from the public. That’s why it’s so important that the community supports them! You can donate to them : here.
Meet Emmy. This beautiful dog is also up for adoption! Bring her home!
